"May The Horse Be With You"
Mustangs in Australia
Welcome to the Capital Classics Website

Capital Classics is a specialist Mustang vehicle and parts supplier centrally and conveniently located in Canberra, the Capital Territory of Australia. The business was the opportunity for the owner, Mark Dixon, to turn a lifelong hobby into a small business.

Capital Classics imports both classic cars and parts, serving the needs of owners in the broader NSW region as a specialist stockist of parts for 1964 thu 1970 Mustangs. We also ship to all parts of Australia and Asia and the stock lines continue to expand to satisfy our customers needs.

We're now into our 7th year of trading and the expansion continues as suppliers bring on new lines of reproduction parts to meet new demands. We're now stocking a larger range of 69-70 parts and that will grow too as I'm now the proud owner of of a 1970 Boss 302.

In addition to importing our own cars and parts for sale, we're now offering an import service for customers who have sourced their own vehicle. We provide a comprehensive service - permits, packing, insurance, customs clearance, and quarantine clearance, plus the transport from Longbeach. So, forget the headaches and frustration of organizing what can be a difficult process and let us do the work for you. Contact us for details and pricing.

We just imported this beautiful 65 Shelby clone from the USA. It was built (almost incredibly) 15 years ago by Pat and Patti Sikorski at the Antioch Mustang Stable in Apache Junction, Arizona, and I can vouch for his craftsmanship. I'd had my eyes on this classic for some years having met Ski some 8 years ago. When they agreed to sell it to me I jumped on it although it cost me keeping the 67 Fastback which can be seen in the "Cars for Sale" area.

Painted in Silversmoke Grey with red trim, it has a 289 with a Shelby Tri-Power and heads/extractors to handle the 825 cfm flow of the carbs. A Hurst shifter operates the toploader to a 3.5 9" posi-traction rear end enhanced with panhard rods. Does it "go"? Yes. Real Hard in fact. Fastest Classic Mustang I have ever been in, bar none.

The interior is unmarked and has factory air, a rally-pac, a wooded Pony wheel and console.

Hope you enjoyed seeing the car. Sorry, it's not for sale. It will occupy it's own stall along with the Boss and my 66 GT convertible.

PARTS

Capital Classics stocks many parts for early Mustangs at competitive prices. Original items we have in stock include consoles for 64 thru 68 ( auto and manual), woodgrain wheels, rally pacs, tachs and intake/exhaust manifolds. We have sources in the USA for these items and our initial buying trip focused on these items.

We carry a comprehensive range of restoration products and stock a sizeable inventory of items to help the restorer or private owner complete or repair their Classic Mustang. Scott Drake and TMI are major suppliers and we carry almost every part for 64-68 Mustangs and some for the 69-70s.

Capital Classics is your one-stop shop for a total restoration.

If we don't have it in stock now, we'll get it either locally or fly it in if needed urgently!

Capital Classics can also be of service with interior trim needs. Single seat and front only sets of early upholstery are standard stock items. Why buy a complete set if you only need less than that? Contact us for details and pricing.
